Wrestling
About our Program
The Bishop Blanchet Wrestling program is a co-ed non cut sport that competes during the winter season. The program practices six days a week at BBHS, in Herber Hall. Wrestling is often seen as an individual sport, but teamwork is crucial to the growth of each member of the team. Wrestlers understand that their success contributes to the overall success of the team and that they are part of a collective effort. The wrestling program focuses on discipline, resilience, and accountability as their core values each season.
The wrestling program values discipline as a key component of success. Wrestlers are expected to have self-discipline in their training, nutrition, weight management, and overall lifestyle. They understand the importance of consistently practicing and adhering to team rules and guidelines.
The wrestling program understands that setbacks and challenges are inevitable. Resilience is a core value that helps wrestlers bounce back from losses, injuries, and other obstacles. They learn to adapt, grow from their experiences, and maintain a positive mindset throughout their wrestling journey
Each wrestler is held accountable for their actions and responsibilities. They take ownership of their training, weight management, and behavior, knowing that their choices impact the team. Accountability helps build trust and a sense of reliability within the team.
